Techies Anticipate Exciting Offerings and Networking Opportunities at SXSW 2024

As the countdown to SXSW 2024 begins, tech enthusiasts worldwide are gearing up for one of the most anticipated events of the year. Scheduled to take place in Austin, Texas, from March 8th to March 16th, 2024, SXSW promises an exhilarating lineup of sessions, exhibits, and networking opportunities tailored to the film, music, television, and tech community.


Renowned for its eclectic mix of music, film, and interactive media, SXSW has become a mecca for innovators, entrepreneurs, and techies alike. This year's event is expected to draw over 300,000 visitors to Austin and will showcase cutting-edge technologies, thought-provoking discussions, and immersive experiences that explore the intersection of technology and society. With over 24 different industry and interest tracks, SXSW2024 will feature over 450 sessions, hundreds of speakers and performances, and a stacked lineup of keynotes that include major players from the world of sports, film, music, and business.


One of the main draws for techies at SXSW is the Interactive Track, which features a diverse array of sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality, and beyond. Within the Interactive Track are specialized tracks such as Tech Industry Track, Artificial Intelligence Track, and even an XR Track. But SX is not just about the tech track experience, there are dozens of tracks for film, music, television, startups, fashion & beauty, and almost anything else you might want to explore. 


From keynote presentations by industry luminaries to hands-on workshops and interactive demos, attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into the latest trends and developments shaping our global landscape. Featuring the platforms, people, software, hardware and virtual systems that are driving the world’s next wave of change, areas of focus for 2024 include cybersecurity, Web3, the path forward for Big Tech, and Austin's emergence as a major global player in this space. 

The Tech Industry track programming, which is a foundation of SXSW, also runs from March 8th-16th.


Not just about the sessions, SXSW offers unparalleled networking opportunities for tech professionals too.  If you're looking to connect with like-minded individuals and potential collaborators, there's a host of both onsite and offsite networking opps, and official and unofficial happy hours and mixers that will bring together pros from every corner of the tech industry. Head over the the Tech Industry Happy Hour on Sunday March 10th at Monshine Grille, or The AI Industry HH March 11th 5-7PM CST, also at Moonshine Grille. Are startups more your thing? 

Don't forget to hydrate during all of the action packed fun with a visit to the La Croix Water House, running Friday-Sunday , March 8th-10th, 12PM-6PM CST. You'll be able to snag some delicious bubbly water and try out their latest flavors, rsvp required.


Looking for the latest in innovation? The event's bustling trade show floor provides a platform for startups and established companies to showcase their products and services. Or perhaps you want to catch a world premier on the film tract for films like Civil War (starring Kirsten Duntst), or Babes (starring Michelle Buteau). SXSW boasts a vibrant lineup of film screenings, musical performances, and cultural events that add to the festival's unique charm. There will be over 80 film screenings and premiers, with celebrities such as Nicolas Cage, Salena Gomez, and Kirsten Dunsts scheduled to appear. With both official and unofficial SXSW programming offering a head spinning lineup of content and events, attendees will want to have an organized approach to planning their schedule and Southby iteneraries.
